Zhang Wei, director of the Municipal Health Commission, said that according to the degree of risk, Urumqi will first cover key areas and key populations, and gradually expand the scope of testing, and carry out free nucleic acid testing in batches and orderly throughout the city to ensure early detection, early reporting, and Early isolation and early treatment. Nucleic acid testing for existing medical observers and key populations has been completed.

At present, 25 nucleic acid testing institutions have been arranged, more than 1,600 medical workers have been selected, and more than 200 people have been organized by the National Health Commission in 10 nucleic acid testing medical teams in 10 provinces and cities. The district (county) is used as a unit to carry out nucleic acid testing in the city. Urumqi will set up a number of collection points in various districts, and the community will organize residents to conduct orderly inspections. Citizens are requested to take samples at designated sampling points in accordance with the notification requirements of their communities, take personal protection, maintain a safe distance of one meter, do not get together, do not gather, and cooperate with nucleic acid testing in an orderly manner.

At the same time, I would like to remind all citizens to pay attention to the following matters during nucleic acid testing.

One is two hours before the nucleic acid test, do not eat, in order to avoid affecting the test results, do not smoke, drink or chew gum 30 minutes before sampling;

The second is to reduce the risk of cross-infection, all testers need to wear a mask and prepare one, and replace it after sampling;

The third is before collecting nasopharyngeal swabs, the tester should inform the collector if there is a curvature of the nasal septum or a history of nasal surgery. During the process, the nose may feel sore and irritating to sneeze. Please immediately cover it with a tissue or elbow;

Fourth, pay attention to hand hygiene before and after nucleic acid testing. You can use hand sanitizer or alcohol to wipe your hands.

Five is to keep a distance of more than one meter between people when sampling.
