On August 22, 2022, the Guangdong Medical Device Management Society officially released the group standards for “Disposable Sampling Swab” and “Sample Storage Tube (including transport medium)” jointly drafted by Shenzhen Medico Technology Co., Ltd.

The release and implementation of this group standard is of great significance: it not only accelerates the landing of product standards related to epidemic prevention and control, effectively improves the quality of prevention and control products and epidemic prevention and control capabilities, provides a standard basis for the production and inspection of epidemic prevention and control products, lays the foundation for Guangdong Province to provide high-quality nucleic acid detection products and rapidly improve the detection capacity of the new coronavirus, but also provides a reference technical basis for the research and development, listing and post-market supervision of medical device products in urban areas around Guangdong.
